That is a quote by Kimberly Johnson. I have no idea who she is or what she has done for society, if anything, but I found that quote and it very nearly is the perfect representation for the subject of this journal entry. I have done an awful job of updating this thing. It has been my goal to try and keep in touch with all of you, to do more with this opportunity, but like with most things I attempt I have failed miserably. So to follow the quote I will not ramble on about the pathetic excuses I could list off that would not even begin to justify my lack of attention to you all. With that said, I'm sorry. I love you all. You are such inspiration for me and I wish you all the best in every aspect. This is the part where I would make you a promise to be better at this but I'm not going to do that. I honestly don't know that I could uphold that oath. Hopefully things will smooth themselves out here and then I can really focus on my work here.

you're welcome. honestly the first line was what caught my attention. mainly because it immediately brought to mind the boy my parents warned me about. seems like everything these days reminds me of him. he's really the reason i find interest in much of anything on here. not that there isn't good stuff on here, but i've got him on my mind so much that i can't really find any other meaning in things. so all that aside, i did in fact like it, because i've been there. as i read it i related, again, to this guy and me. i consider him to be one of my best friends, but to him i'm just another of his girl friends, of which he has many. i've watched him flirt with god only knows how many other girls. but the worst part is watching him around the people he hangs out with the most (also note, i'm not one of them) and how they are slowly killing him and knowing i can't do anything about it. he's making choices for himself and nothing i say or do will convince him otherwise. he would just laugh and tell me that i'm just too innocent and naive and i don't understand it.
but i digress. i guess to put it fairly simply, i liked it because it reminded me of how much i hate my own situations. how's that for messed up?

Well you definitely accomplished that.

I did enjoy it and I'm not too terribly upset. Well I guess I am, but for more reasons than that. The whole set of circumstances is just rather unfortunate and I've not really reacted in the best manner which irritates me more than anything. Had I handled it better I wouldn't be quite so irked with myself.
